Legal unit is an outfit in the Hon. Commissioner /Chairman’s office which is primarily saddled with the following functions.

1.Interpretation of legal issues as it concern the Authority.

2.Drafting and vetting of legal documents including M.O.U’s, contract terms and engagement procedures.

3.Liaising with ministry of justice in relation to legal issues with the Authority.

4.Preparation of witnesses to cases brought against the Authority.

5.Representing the Authority in legal matters in courts.

6.Supervising the stages of all the cases in courts.

7. Processing legal documents as they pertain to prosecutions of contraventions.

8.Preparation of letters to security personnel’s in relation to the Authority’s activities.

9.Making/carryout researches on laws pertaining to the Authority in comparison with other Capital Territory laws.
